Is the sand in your filter all worn out?
The silica sand typically used in sand filters wears out due to the movement of water and particles dragging on the sand. Eventually, it won't filter your pool water as well, and you can actually see symptoms of this. Symptoms include visible dirt or algae coming out of the return(s) when vacuuming the pool bottom, or your pool might not get as clear as it should be.
Never fear...Zeolite is here!
Natural Zeolite will make your water sparkle!
Here's the good news...Zeolite is a volcanic material that has 50 times the surface area of silica sand, weighs half as much for the same volume, and filters water down to 10 times smaller than silica sand! That's right, instead of your water being filtered down to 30-40 microns, Zeolite filters your water down to 4 microns! And because you only need half the weight (150 lbs. of Zeolite replaces 300 lbs. of sand), it actually costs less than sand in your filter!
